A Snowy Colorado Engagement with a Hint of Whiskey!

As I continue to explore my new surroundings, I find connections not only to the new landscape but to some outstanding people within the incredible community we now call home. Although Colorado Springs is not a small town per se, there is an amazingly tight-knit camaraderie among the wedding industry professionals here. Kendra, the Wedding Specialist at the beautiful and prestigious Garden of the Gods Resort, is one such example of someone who welcomed me here with grace, encouragement, and an appreciation for my experience. With that in mind, it seemed only natural upon hearing of her own engagement, that I would jump at the chance to photograph Kendra and Garrett’s session!

These two are such a fun, carefree couple with an overwhelming love for three specific things: snow, whiskey, and their devoted pups! I always enjoy a shoot not only with a clear point of view, but an opportunity to temporarily immerse myself in the passions of my subjects. With Kendra and Garrett, this was not hard to do! Between adorable Gunner and Riley frolicking around in the snow, and intermittent swigs from their flasks, I had such fun romping around and getting a window into the chemistry and love this sweet couple shares, the views from the Catamount Reservoir and the South Platte River didn’t hurt either!

I feel very fortunate to not only have captured so many great images, but to have had such a fun and memorable time. Thank you again to Kendra and Garrett for including me as a small part of your story!
