Casa Del Mar Wedding | Santa Monica, Ca

The Ennabe Family! What can I say?! I love these people. Photographing and capturing moments like these for this family definitely brings me joy. It all started in 2006 when I photographed Lety’s wedding at the Biltmore. Then it was off to San Diego for Linda’s  in 2009, then back to Downtown L.A. for  Nancy’s in 2012 and now I’ve made my way to number 4… which is of course bittersweet as I’m down to the last sister (which I’m told won’t be for awhile, ha!).

On this wonderful day I had the privilege of photographing Noura & David’s wedding. The festivities started and ended at the beachside hotel, Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica, CA. Their ceremony was at the ornate and richly crafted Saint Sophia Cathedral near downtown L.A. Everything about this wedding was a blast to photograph. Throw in a crazy, fun group of family and friends that takes over a relaxed Santa Monica venue with dancing and singing… and you get the idea. I hope you enjoy looking a glimpse into this special day!

Casa del Mar Henna Celebration | Santa Monica, Ca

Ornate clothing, colorful decor, incredible food, belly dancers and the harmony of family & friends joining in to celebrate the bride & groom to be… in other words, a Henna Celebration. The setting of this festive party was at the chic beachside hotel, Casa Del Mar in beautiful Santa Monica, CA. As you move through some of the images below, you’ll immediately notice that Shirah is jaw-droppingly stunning. From there it just keeps getting better. Veronique, with Veronique Events did a fabulous job casting a vision and seeing this joyous event through to fruition. I’m sure you’ll all agree, a Henna Party is where you want to be.

Intercontinental Hotel Wedding | Century City, Ca

On a recent Sunday at the Intercontinental Hotel in Century City, CA., I truly had the pleasure of spending the day with Andrea & Moshe and their wonderful families in celebration of their wedding. It always is an honor to photograph such a special day! About a year ago I met a smiling Andrea at another wedding and immediately began chatting regarding the possibility of myself photographing her own wedding when the time came… well the time definitely came!

So many elements came together to create a wonderful collection of images. Of course, a stunning couple never hurts. Add in impeccable details, a wonderful venue and a creative designer in Veronique and you’re pretty much set. Andrea wore a gorgeous gown by Brides by Liza and her shoes were miu miu. Please enjoy a walk through a joyful celebration peppered with many meaningful Jewish ceremonial traditions and customs. Enjoy!

Wafarer’s Chapel Wedding | Rancho Palos Verdes, Ca

One of the many benefits of living and shooting in Southern California is having regular access to stunning coastal locations like the South Bay region of Los Angeles. It’s in this trendy enclave that I had the good fortune of photographing Kayla & Anthony’s wedding recently. I started the day shooting at the Belamar Hotel in Manhattan Beach. It was here where Kayla and her many bridesmaids applied their finishing touches. From there, we continued toward the Malaga Cove Library in Palos Verdes for their “first look,” next came their vow exchanges at Wayfarers Chapel (throw in a rocky beach there somewhere), and eventually we wound up at Tin Roof Bistro in M.B. for a fun-filled cocktail party. Bottom line, it was an absolute joy to work with this fun, energetic and attractive couple!

3rd Street Engagement Session | Santa Monica, Ca

Here’s a fabulous engagement session to kick off the weekend! I strolled around the ultra-trendy beaches of Santa Monica with Jenna & Brett this past weekend. I love the eclectic variety of colors, people and structures that contribute to the patchwork that is Santa Monica. On this gorgeous day we jumped in right near the Promenade, made our way out to Ocean Ave and then made the (what feels like) 2 mile walk to the water’s edge. Enjoy!

L.A. Union Station Wedding | Los Angeles, Ca

The historic Union Station in Los Angeles, CA. This was the location for Emily & Bear’s wedding a few weeks ago and wow, was it amazing! From the old-world craftsmanship to the glamour and romance of vintage “rail”, it was truly a sight to behold. I started my day photographing Emily at the nearby Millennium Biltmore Hotel, while Bear prepped over at the Jonathan Club. Their paths intersected on the corner of Olive and W. 5th St for their somewhat public first look, which was a refreshing twist on such a special moment. After touring around Pershing Square for a bit, everyone including the bridal party jumped on the Red Line for a quick ride to Union Station… how fun is that!? The ceremony and dinner portion were held in and around the South Patio courtyard and the party was held in the incredible Fred Harvey room. Please enjoy a glimpse into this unique and stunning wedding!

Beth & Jorge | Tulum, Mexico Wedding

Every once in a while I get the opportunity to jump on a plane and head somewhere new and exciting, and in this case tropical and exotic as well!

I was fortunate to have been invited to photograph Beth & Jorge’s destination wedding in the seaside town of Tulum. Tulum is located on the Caribbean coast of Mexico about an hour and a half drive from Cancun. I love shooting destination weddings for many reasons, one being the change of pace and another being the inspiration gained through uncharted characteristics of a completely unfamiliar environment. And on the social end, I really enjoy getting to know a smaller set of guests and family over the course of several days.

I can’t begin to express how fun this particular wedding was; from the breathtaking scenery, complete with Tulum’s historic Mayan ruins, to the amazing food and warm welcome I received from everyone in attendance to celebrate Beth & Jorge, or “Coco,” as he is more fondly known! I was able to connect with a few fellow Angelinos from Beth’s family (Joanna, Jordan, Rhonda and Mike) on the plane flight over and they quickly adopted me as one of their own.  Upon arriving, I was invited to the welcome dinner and to some of the best fish tacos I’ve ever indulged in….. I mean you can’t go wrong with fresh sautéed Grouper, ha ha!

The wedding day itself unfolded with a relaxed and comfortable tone, with the exception of the heat and humidity that contributed to a few extra days at the dry cleaners for my poor shirt! In all honesty, the level of love and laughter I witnessed was truly heartwarming and really made a day of “work” feel like a privilege. Even sifting through images for this post was difficult, as there were so many more “real” moments of joy that I would’ve liked to have posted. I hope you enjoy the chosen glimpses into this fabulous wedding.

Thank you again Beth & Jorge for allowing me the opportunity to be a part of such an incredible celebration.  Cheers!

Erika & Zach | California Club Wedding, Los Angeles

The California Club in the heart of downtown Los Angeles is an old-world, immaculate venue rich in history and elegant charm.  It was in this setting that I truly had the joy of photographing Erika & Zach’s wedding a couple weeks ago. The day was paced in a relaxing “stay awhile” flow, which really set the tone for the entire event. The images themselves truly reflect the deep love and joy that both Erika & Zach have for each other.  Please enjoy browsing through this pristine day!

Jen & Jake | Union Station Engagement Session

On a beautiful, classic Southern California day in September, I got to hang out with this energetic and passionate couple! The adventure began near the Omni Hotel in downtown Los Angeles and took off from there… eventually winding down at the historic Union Station. This mini journey with Jen & Jake was too much fun! From dodging cars in the 2nd Street tunnel, to many, many  MANY random acts of “kissing and laughing.” Feel free to scroll through a few clicks below!

Chloe & Brian | Downtown L.A. Engagement Session

Sometimes it all comes together! On this day, that was just the case. I met Chloe & Brian near Cafe Pinot in downtown Los Angeles for their engagement session. They strolled up looking sharp and ready for a night on the town, sporting a black tux and cocktail dress. We strolled around and hit most of the nearby L.A. landmarks: L.A. Central Library, Pershing Square, Disney Hall & Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The images do a great job reflecting just how insanely fun this really was! Take a look for yourself  😉
