that's our specialty.
capturing family pictures should be a positive experience, and dare we say, fun! There’s no need for stiff poses or an expectation that everyone stays perfectly still….
Let’s get shots of babies laughing from tickles and silly faces, dogs giving sloppy wet kisses, and kiddos running freely and enjoying being themselves! We want to photograph your family in a way that is natural, beautiful, and most expressive of who you all are, individually and together. Creating beautiful images starts with everyone feeling at ease and ready for an end result that is truly special.
No matter the age or size of your family, the time of year, or the setting,
Of course! We love incorporating your fur babies into your family portrait sessions. If you should decide to bring your pet for your family pictures, we do suggest that you have a friend or other family assist with the handling of your pet, as they won’t be added into every photo.

Comfort is always important, first and foremost! If you’re not feeling your best in the way you’re dressed for your session, the pictures will reflect your discomfort. We don’t recommend overly vibrant colors or patterns that will detract from your faces, or any colors that will be too close to the background/location chosen for your session. Choose colors that will compliment the surroundings and season in which your session will take place, but also will provide ample contrast. Pinterest is always a helpful resource to guide you with ideas and inspiration!

Although we can appreciate photographers that specialize in Mini Sessions, we aren’t one of them. When it comes to photographing families and important milestones, we are firm believers that this is a process that shouldn’t be rushed. Little ones can take a few minutes to warm up to the camera, extended family members can take some time to arrange, and making sure to get a variety of poses, angles, and backgrounds can take more than 15-30 minutes. Our sessions will focus on not only creating beautiful photos to grace your home, but also to capture your unique family dynamic.

For our portrait sessions, we will give you the full gallery of high resolution images available for download or print. The entire gallery will be edited, but not yet retouched. Should you choose to order prints, enlargements, or an album from your session through our studio, all of the images being printed will be fully retouched and perfected prior to production.

Outdoor photos can definitely present their own challenges, and weather is certainly a tricky thing to navigate, especially during seasons when family portraits are most commonly scheduled. In the days before your portraits are scheduled, we will be keeping a close eye on the weather forecasted during your session time. If it seems that the session will be jeopardized by the weather conditions, we will happily work with you to adjust timing, or reschedule your pictures to another day when the forecast is more optimal.
