The process of retouching images is more involved than a simple edit. Retouching is applied to those images that will be printed either in your Wedding Album, or those that have been ordered as loose prints to frame. In the retouching process, we will apply the same changes to an image as we do in a general edit, but will then go a step further. When needed, we will correct fly away hairs, erase any skin blemishes, remove small objects from the background, etc. Because retouching can be a but more time consuming, we do not perform this process to every image in the full gallery.

What’s the difference between editing and retouching?

While our standard package collections typically do include an Engagement Session, we recognize that some couples may have already taken this step, especially when they live out of the area. Engagement Session credit may be shifted elsewhere to better serve those clients in several ways. Many clients choose to add additional Wedding Day coverage in lieu of the Engagement Session, or will apply the session credit to their post wedding custom print orders.

When it comes to a Wedding Day, there is A LOT to document! With two photographers covering a minimum of 8 hours on your day, you can expect as many as 150 images per hour of coverage. This number will vary in accordance with the size of your Bridal Party, the number of immediate and extended family members in attendance, and the length of your ceremony.

Questions
Yes! Our image storage policy and procedures are something we take very seriously, because we recognize that this is your forever. As we are actively photographing your day, the images are being recorded on two identical memory cards simultaneously, meaning that in the case of a card failure, there will automatically be an exact copy of the card that failed. Once we have left your reception, our heads don’t hit our pillows until those memory cards are uploaded to a hard drive, which is also backed up onsite AND online. Years from now, your images will be safely stored with us, whether or not you purchased the full gallery.

How are client images stored? Will my files be safe, especially if I don’t purchase my full gallery after the wedding?

Yes, all of your images that you will receive in your gallery will be culled down and batch edited. This means that we will remove duplicate images, color correct the full set, and crop any images that may need reframing.
