With large weddings at a standstill and destination elopements on the rise, this Colorado Red Rocks Open Space shoot was perfectly on point with the current trend. Our incredible couple Crystal and Ryan were an ideal match with their carefree attitudes and willingness to help achieve this look and this stunning Maggie Sottero “Burke” gown on Crystal was the icing on the cake!
In an effort to stand out a bit from some of the popular Boho trends, we chose an indigo and mustard palette, reserving the red and orange tones for the natural surroundings themselves. This gorgeous location, with its tall grasses and old-growth trees, was well-appointed for the macrame swing incorporated into this shoot, creating a playful and romantic element.
Adding to the intimacy of these images was this dreamy picnic setting, creating a magical vignette for the couple to enjoy the beauty of the location and this moment together as a brief escape. Crystal and Ryan were just amazing throughout the day, as we schlepped things back and forth, balanced on ladders, and constantly set and reset to produce our desired result.
We just loved the romantic feel of this shoot and the unbelievable backdrop, and we hope that in looking through these images, you’ll feel swept up by the fantasy of it all as much as we are!
Thank you to our dream team of talented vendors and to The Holmes for making this day such a beautiful success!
