There are certainly times as a photographer when you meet a couple and your desire to photograph them is a bit stronger than usual because the chemistry between them is so evident. You just know that they will make your job will be that much easier! This was definitely the case for us with Megan and Parker, being college sweethearts and absolute best friends. These two have the kind of sweetness that easily rivals a Disney movie, but with true authenticity.
Since Parker is a Colorado native, and much of his time with Megan is spent outdoors, we decided that Red Rock Canyon Open Space would be a perfect setting for their engagement shoot. This beautiful park is amazingly vast with its stunning rock formations, trees, grasses, and a mirror-like lake, all creating unique vignettes from every angle. We have yet to grow tired of this gorgeous backdrop with its rust-hued geology and stunning views. The chosen date could not have been more perfect, with 70-degree temps and the coveted Colorado sunshine that added to the couple’s already present glow.
We hiked among the rocks to capitalize on the sweeping lake views and had some fun with Parker and Megan as they danced between some of the many old-growth trees in the canyon. The light could not have been more ideal or complementary, and the contrast with the red walls and boulders was just magic. This session was an absolute blast and we couldn’t be more pleased with the gorgeous images and the sweet moments captured. It was so much fun witnessing the playful spirit between this couple, and it made us all the more excited and honored to be shooting their Flying Horse Ranch nuptials!
Cheers again to Megan and Parker! We can’t wait for your Wedding Day!
